A hanged Salem witch, a Pendle witch, also a "Piskijker" a Dutch folk doctor of sorts.
One of our more famous or infamous was a physcian for an English King.
( Under his care the king died!)

Nicholas Culpeper, translated from latin and published
"London Pharmacopolia" in 1649 as "The Physical Directory.
