Balm of Gilead . This delightful salve is made from the tree of the same name also known, as the Cottonwood Tree. it is used for sunburn, scalds, scratches, inflamed skin and wounds. Infused in Olive oil it makes a soothing ointment for pain and antiseptic purposes.
